Kansas City Music Teachers Association was organized in 1915.
Our Missouri State Charter was granted on October 16, 1929.

KCMTA advances the value of music study and music-making for our diverse community while supporting the professionalism of music teachers.

KCMTA is a non-profit organization of professional music educators from the entire Kansas City area that continually strives to provide extraordinary opportunities for people of all ages: hobbyists, professionals, and listeners.
